617 Frame Rates

on the red 617 it says shooting at 28k is 1-30fps. Will we be able to shoot long exposures? 2..4...10 seconds..

a lot of my images involving water need to be long exposures to get the desired effect, like the image below.

I can't wait to get my hands on the 617. I shoot with a 4x10 view camera and drum scan my slides at 1.2gb, no digital camera currently comes close...until now..

You certainly can shoot long exposure stills (like the beautiful one you posted). Just not motion. If you shoot 10 second exposures, it is hard to fit them into 24 frames a second.

Would still make a cool looking timelapse with that long of an exposure.

Just wondering cause I hiked there one time and it looks familiar.

"The Rhythm of Life" is an ABC/Nat Geo documentary plenty of long exposure shots.........I am sure we will find good use for them. :shifty:

It's at mooney falls just below havasu falls

Long Exposures are IMHO one big missing thing on the Red One. They are the reason I still shoot time-lapse on DSLRs.
