So today I shot with three RED Ravens on firmware 6.3.101. All with I/O Module, AC power and one running v-looks. Pared with Canon 24-70mm and one with Contax Zeiss. 4.7 Touch and no ekstra modules. Using 120gb, 240gb and 512gb.

We were shooting Prores 442 HQ in 4K HD and got buffer overload error message on all three cameras after rolling for about six minutes. Tried a Secure Format, but the issue remained. Than changed from 4K HD to 4K and the problem went away on all three cameras.

If you are on this firmware, try shooting Prores 422 HQ in 4K HD and see if you get this error after 6-7 minutes

Beside this little hickup, it was such a pleasure having three Ravens in the same room.

Will send logs to RED tomorrow.

I was under the impression that 4K prores only came to the Scarlet-W and not the Raven? If I am wrong that is fantastic.

Frame size can be 4K or 4K HD but the recorded file is still 2K 422 HQ.

I just had this problem on my Scarlet-w shooting 5k HD frame size in Prores 422 HQ. This was never an issue with the older build firmware. I'll investigate if shooting in 5k FF makes a difference.

Quick follow up: I tried again at 5k HD. Got the proxy overflow once and a weird camera shutdown another time. Switched to 5k FF and it seems to be working normally. Very Strange.

Is it shooting at wider than 16x9 when you are 5k FF (in Prores 422 HQ)?

Yes, It's a bit wider than 4D - around 60px if I remember correct. Please send the logs to RED.
