512gb Redmags

[Adam Howden]

Has anyone had any real world experience with the 512gb Redmags yet? Am curious about frame rates Vs compression ratios as I'm sure many are?

[Paul J Steinberg]

My conversation with a Bomb Squad rep was that they would just allow one lower rate of compression vs. the standard cards (ie. 6:1 instead of 8:1) but not higher frame rates than you would otherwise be capable of.

So say around 100 fps at 12:1 is likely to come down to 10:1 or 8:1 is that your interpretation of the situation?

[Daniel Soderberg]

Pretty sure 95FPS (5K FF/HD max frame rate) is able to be recorded at 11:1 instead of 12:1.

So say around 100 fps at 12:1 is likely to come down to 10:1 or 8:1 is that your interpretation of the situation?
