RED "mini mag" 512GB are $2450 in the store. The original RED mags "1.8 inch" 512GB I believe were in the $4000+ range which they no longer have in the store those work with the regular 1.8" side module.

Not really Mikey because many people already have lots of mags of the old kind and no real interest in having to sell them all to switch to new system - which in many cases does not add entirely meaningful benefit - so adding one more 512 to the same system makes sense, even at a higher price.

Because if the 1.8 is discontinued and now there is a more superior/faster/better SSD(even tho it is mini version) the selling price should be compared to the new price, and because it is "used" then it should be below the new version price.

Agreed. I have a whole system of 128's. If I were in the market for a 512, it would be the older 1.8, not the new mini. Considering the older 512s were once quite expensive, I can understand RU's trying to avoid taking a huge loss on them when selling. Sounds reasonable...

The going price for older 512's seems to be $2500, for that reason... Which is what is being offered...

I'm not crapping in anyone's thread so you should be careful on what you tell someone you don't know what to do its quite disrespectful. I was simply trying to make a point and I HAVE EVERY RIGHT to. Last time I checked this was America and in America we have freedom of speech. If you don't like what I have said why don't YOU MOVE ALONG. I much preferred Nick's response because it was reasonable and did a great job explaining his point without being foolishly disrespectful.

Mikey I was not disrepecting you. I was making a point that this is a FOR SALE thread posted by Ollie and it is his right to ask whatever price for his goods as he feels. Your post came off as you publicly dictating to him that he should reduce his price because there is a different REDMAG type. You have every right to make a point but I think you should have made that point under a new thread BY YOU asking simply why some people price goods at certain prices.
