  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

50-150mm Lens Has Arrived

Again, with several hundred 50-150's shipped, we have one brother, Red Sail, who says something nice about the lens. Is that it? Jarred, Jeff K, Dave Mullen, anyone out there with some credentials who has anything nice to say about this lens? Please say something other than price comparisons with studio quality lenses such as "For the price, you can't beat it", "It's almost as good as X," etc.

Well that what it is. They're not 100% cine lenses, they're a compromise, so if you expect a cine lens for that price. You will most probably be disappointed.

Then you're better off paying slightly more for the up coming RED lenses and zoom.

Are there any other reviews of the 50 - 150mm lens available from Red users.

I'm #1007 and still waiting....
 
Love it. Smooth mechanics, great image, and still pretty compact. Untouchable by any thing else in PL mount for this range and size.
