Ok,

I have a new Tilta Rig for my Epic so I have to under mount the 5" Redtouch. I was easily able to find in the settings where to vertically filp the image, my problem though is it's horizontally mirroring the image. Everything on my left is now showing on the right of the screen. I could not find a way to horizontally flip the image so its right.

Am I missing something?

You're not crazy… that feature isn't ready yet. Not sure when it will as many have been wanting this for a very long time.

when i say this feature is not available yet DoPs freaks out and call me liar! telling me like how come that feature not available on red epic its shooting 5K raw 100fps and dont have flip option? lol :)

I'm guessing it has to do with the touch element that makes it hard and thus not available. Folks probably wonder why flipping the image seems simple enough but I'm sure the touch part is what makes it tricky (if it wasn't planned out to flip to begin with...the coding of data might mean rewriting coordinates and the entire gui). Maybe now that the team is finished with Dragon, they'll return to prior opportunities and improvements.

What I noticed was all of the touch elements worked fine - the menu was flipped, and all of the touch features work. It was just the signal was reversed. So I don't think its a touch menu issue.

Remember all.. when you start flipping the actual video and not just the monitor.. all the software tools need to be rewritten to be able to understand what you just did, for demosaic, pixel processing etc.. that's not as easy as it sounds to resolve :)

So the whole recorded video stream flips? Not just the signal to the monitor?

That's what is required for the video mirror, yes. The video flip, which is enabled now, is done solely in the monitor data.

Hopefully they fix this soon, I have had a few rigs I wanted to build out that required an upside down monitor or evf.
