  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

5.5 is shipping Epic plugin soon....

Really looking forward to Epic support. I just lost an Epic rental day and had to sub-rent an MX R1 due to the lack of Epic support in Adobe CS 5.x...

Cheers - #19

On the other hand, it is fantastic that David, Mike Kanfer, and everyone else at Adobe has put in alot of attention and work into getting Epic support and workflow improvements out quickly and through Adobe Labs. We really appreciate their efforts for RED support.

wouldn't it be a safer option to wait until successful testing before uninstalling your working production version? i mean, this thing is just now out in the wild, and as solid as adobe is with their releases, its just too much of an unnecessary risk. so... my recommendation is to run them both (for a period of time) if at all possible.

Started testing this morning. The R3D importer plugin is all it can be, it is great. The whole suite feels faster and snappier, opening projects is faster than ever, Media Encoder is even better than before! Realtime effects are great.

Great work Adobe. I wouldn't choose anything else for a R3D project or a canon originated one.

Hello,

I'm going to plunk down the $550.00 for my master upgrade soon. Quick question; RED Rocket support in Premiere now? After Effects as well?

Had a great time checking it out at the booth during NAB. The demo you had with the MacBook Pro, Promise array and black magic box through the thunderbolt port was fantastic.

Best!

Where can we see info on the above setup, or maybe a video from nab on it? Or any other configurations adobe might recommend etc.

David, is there anything on the homefront of allowing cuda acceleration while using output from a decklink card? The way I edit, I need to see my HD reference on a large calibrated panel out of my decklink, but I lose the cuda when I do that, and it introduces a lot of instability too.

We are working on this but it might be a little bit...

Cheers
