Please help with a hardware issue I encountered in one of current productions.
We need to show 4 separate HD SDI feeds on one 4k display as quad split (65 inch Panasonic with HDMI 2.0 and DP1.2).

Will AJA Hi5-4k do the job? Or perhaps Blackmagic SDI to HDMI 4k mini converter?
I'd prefer to know before buying.
Both have 4 SDI HD inputs and one HDMI out, but will they actually accept 4 separate SDI HD feeds and convert them into a quad split 4k picture?
Or to rephrase the question: is a 4k (Ultra HD) picture carried by 4 separate SDI liinks (cables) the same thing as "quad split view"? Or the technology of "quad-link 4k" is different and not compatible with "quad-split view 4k"?
I have a real problem identifying hardware to solve my problem and thought the two converters would be simplest and cheapest--if they are up to the task.
TIA.

Quad-link SDI is not the same thing as quad-split. What you need is a 4K multiviewer, such as the on made by Apantac. I imagine within the next year, we'll see smaller, cheaper 4K quad-splits from the likes of Decimator, but the technology is too new right now.

Are you sure I can?
Your answer is in opposition to the previous post.
There, quad view is NOT equal to quad link.

You can do it with this -

or with this -

I always pay the slightly higher price for the AJA products over BlackMagic - because they almost always work better and live longer.
