hello. Just wondering what is the best way to record my new DJI OSMO that will be graded after, either 4k or 1080p if both record @60Mb/s?? This also goes for GOpro's. Which one will have more color information and less artifacts.

thanks.

Hi, I shots some tests and found that the image quality is way better in HD than 4k. 4k just seems to thin with lots of artifacts. If you shoot HD and then try to fit it into a 4k timeline, I will guess that the same will happen, so no win situation. But the answer your question, 1080p looks way better.

Is it legitimate 4k? How can you have four times the resolution at the same speed? Or are they sampling it like crazy?

The OSMO records up to 60Mbps. Bitrate varies with the resolution and FPS. For whatever reason, the DJI people haven't written a decent user manual that explains anything beyond how to turn the camera on and operate it in the most basic sense, so I don't think anyone here can really offer much input without having experience with the camera.
