  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

4K Televisions

Sony today announced that price of their 65inch 4k set is US$6999 and 50 inch $4999.
Also announced what they say is the first home 4k media player for $699, it will be bundled with 10x 4k movies and will be able to download 4k movies with an upgrade later.

All good stuff to push demand for 4k product.

Large sets will drive demand for live UltraHD signals for numerous types of jobs.

Blackmagic, Canon and Sony have live 4K outputs.

How long before 6g single cable distribution of UHDTV to video village be the go? Blackmagic are already shipping 6g kit.

Will RED provide an "UltraHD' standard output, so Epics can be (more easily) used on multicamera shoots?

Canon was showing a multicamera UltraHD live setup including switcher at NAB!
