Many have asked how long RED ONEs with M-X sensors for 4,000 will last?

I don't know. That is up to you.

The RED ONE M-X sensor has shot a multitude of features, including The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Pirates 4. The idea that you can own a camera that could shoot this quality at this price is unheard of... it is mind blowing.

It was no surprise that many have jumped on the program at the newest price. I paid much more for serial numbers 1-5 myself. :-)

When people look up "the best bargain in the history of man"... this RED ONE deal shows up in 1st place. And there aren't many left.

Thank you for taking the leap.

Edit: It's remarkable that someone had a vision to provide something, did so, and then didn't try to capitalize by withholding technological advances to make more over time or pricing at, near, or over the cost of their competitors. Imagine if this happened in the oil or automotive industry - or many others.

Jim a little bit ago I found and now lost a thread about the history of the R1 by you, it was about the valve of the 1st R1s shipped

I was wondering if you would do one on epic please :)

Show me the one on the R1...

Truly amazing deal for those who have waited for the opportunity to shoot with a camera like the RED. The fact that the RED One is still very relevant 5 years later is a testament to the hard work that was put into it.

Hard to believe it has been five years huh Jim? Time really does fly by. Scary. Seems like yesterday we were all giddy over those original renders. Thanks for sticking with it through the ups and downs, the late hours, etc. You've got thick skin. That's why you're still at it.

I might just retire at any moment... :-)

I would hope that the RED ONE signifies that we shot high. In a world of "6 months and out"... the RED ONE can still shoot images that can be shown on the big screen with no excuse.

I hope to be able to get one soon. Going to try and borrow some money from my parents...I can do 2k, and hopefully they can match the other 2k. Then I'm gonna slowly save up for the accessories.

I think absolute steal is SCARLET.

Possibly... but I'm not quite sure why you would want one.

And that was only one question. :-)

Jim

Two questions

If someone was interested in a R1-M, would that be in stock?
