4k 16:9 ?

I'm sooo sorry if this has been discussed somewhere in the forum. I've spent over 45 minutes so far searching / reading and I'm still not sure what to do at this point.

I just shot a scene for a client which can not be re-shot.
They wanted 4k 16:9 -- I've only been shooting 2k

They just left the studio and I'm stuck here thinking I really screwed up.
When I open the clips half of it is garbaged or QuickTime crashes.

I just reverted QuickTime back to 7.3.1 and still have this problem.
Is it possible to open these clips in FCP? or RedAlert? I need to give them conversions for offline and online.

This is what we shot with - any solutions?

Red - build 15 2.1.7
4K 16:9
24fps
RedCode 28

funny.. I just assumed I would have the same problem after trying to open in QuickTime, then RedAlert, so I didn't even try RC... ;-)
