4K 16:9 crash

I see people are shooting in 16:9, but my 16:9 shots crash when I try to open them in quicktime or FCP. 2:1 opens fine.

RED ALERT crashes, didn't try redcine. Shot on CF, copied to harddrive before trying to open it.

Try REDCINE, 4K 16:9 is not supported in RA or QT (yet)

meaning no editing with 16:9 proxies? but i can convert to something else in redcine and edit that?

We have same problem. 4k 16:9 will crash in QT, FCP & RedAlert. You have to open the clips up in RedCine and export.
