  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

4.8" LCD screen

Thanks Deanan,

Good to know, I 'll bring Scarlet to my grand daughter's soccer game.
I can compete another grandpa's shoulder-cam and show off my little 2/3" pocket-cam.
:clown2:
Hihihihhi!

Since you'll be shooting 120 fps slow mo, your grand daughter had better start practicing bicycle kicks.

I was checking XDCAM’s 3.5” hybrid color screen that is 1920 x 480 (I think that is odd size). It’s very easy to control any function and menus.

If Scarlet’s 4.8” diagonally measured LCD will have more than 1920 x 1080 native resolution (respectably) and could have underscan possibility that means up to 20 percent of gain of the overscan image.
It’s 3k.
For now, it’s all speculation.

But nice to have large LCD screen.
4.8” is big for this size of Cam.
I can playback freakin’ bicycle kick on slow-mo on a field.

Wonder if it'd be feasible to make a hybrid LCD/EVF similar to what Sony did with the EX3. Seems like that'd be an ideal solution for Scarlet. Or sell an optional snap-on eye piece for the included LCD to keep the base kit price low.

Nice observation. This sony design is something I've never seen before, quite functional.
