  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

4.7" Weapon Touch LCD

Look at the first pic :)

heh heh heh.

Ok, with this, there goes my complete Savings . Again. Inspire, 4:3rd camera, Red Weapon Upgrade, Side Handle, 5" LCD... Argh!

YES! FINALLY!!! It is so difficult to use a non touch display for run and gun shooting. But also so difficult to use the original 5" for focus. I feel like this is the answer.

1) Any chance Grid can make a Loupe for this? Seems like the perfect size for a loupe of some sort. Or even an official Red Loupe.

2) Also, can this be hung upside down and off to the side, Shoulder mount EVF style?

3) On Weapon Mag (Please come out soon), can I control the camera using just this monitor and not have to buy Sidekick? Sidekick looks awesome, but I'm going to be penny pinching for Weapon Mag since will be a major, major purchase for me.

Gene, you will noice teeny little mounting holes on perimeter of this LCD. Specifically put there for a loop or hood to easily integrate. I am checking on flip*. For sure, this 4.7" allows for complete camera control.

*EDIT: Flips on WEAPON, yes. For EPIC/SCARLET, will be enabled via a future firmware release.

Correct, Paul. Just forward and back.
That's too bad. That can be a deal-breaker for me, as I sometimes find myself in a really tight space where I can't get behind the camera...then it's Noga Arm time.

Can always mount off the WEAPON body with a cable and Lemo Adaptor B. The swivel adds a lot of complexity, which adds cost, to be frank.

Is it 720p as Jarred stated? I've seen on this site that's 1920x1136 pixels.

Pat

PS: I've seen it's not the same monitor... another 5'' but I don't see it in the store.

That is wrong. And the images and resolution on that site are of the Touch 7", not the 5". I will let them know...

Specs as stated by Jarred and on the product detail page for the 4.7" are correct.

Thats great. Fantastic. I love our 9" monitor but its really big and quite heavy as well and we do handheld very often so lighter would be nicer of course :)
Affordable as well!
