4.5K WS final delivery resolution issues

So I have a project in 4.5k ws colored in assimilate scratch. Sending it out downresed is a nightmare even if I do 1920 x 817 (2.35) It looks punched in, do I have to export it as 4480 x 1920 and rescale later in my NLE. Thanks for all your help! Im going out from scratch to AJA RGB 10bit uncompressed transcoding to pr 4x4 in mpeg streamclip. Final Delivery through Final Cut Pro 7

Hi Joel,
How do you proceed for the downscaling ?
You have 2 options:
1/ Add Single Output and set it to 1920x817, then enter it and adjust scaling in FX Controls.
2/ Duplicate the existing 4.5K construct (Drag + Alt) , set this construct output to 1920 x 817 and adjust scaling in Process/Shot Config.

In both cases, first set the proper scaling in the additional node and add the QT export afterward.

well 4.5k is 1:2.33 apect ratio, so I am assuming you want to keep it "scope" with letterbox top and bottom. then you just down scale it to 1920x1080 (keep aspect ratio).
In your NLE you can add some black bars if you want a 1.2.35/2.40 aspect ratio.
