Hi there,
this is my first time editing of Red files, shot for my latest movie in 4,5k resolution.
I was planning on converting everything to prores proxy files with redrushes, editing in fcp 7, and later send an edl to my color grading artist who is using scratch.
Now i found myself in front of several problems:
1st: The files out of redrushes appear in the right aspect at first, but once using digital cinema preview on my 2nd display, they seem to be 16:9 instead of 1:2.40. Why is that?
The Other question is, what do i have to set in redrushes, so that later, scratch will be able to relink the qt files back to the original redfiles?
Any tutorials about that kind of workflow? Or any knowledge? I thought with the latest Final Cut installer, 4,5k support was added, but while i can watch the clips, the timeline shows them with a red bar above them so i'm not able to playback the clips in the timeline... Please help
