3rd party v-lock batteries for ActionProducts vmount batteries - compatibility?

I have been told that GlobalMedia pro can have some kind of disagreement with particular v-lock mounts. I think this might be a Red proprietary issue but just in case, does anyone know of any incompatibility with the ActionProducts connectors, which use 'Pro-X GP-S mounting plate' v-lock plates.

I know someone who has an action products camera plate & uses global media pro batteries. I have AP system but only use Red batteries.

The "non red" Global Media Pro batteries will work with your camera if you have the correct plate. I know that the Viewfactor plate will work. RED, Switronix, and Action Products won't. This is how it was explained to me:

- There are data pins that some batteries/plates use to send info to the camera (percentage remaining)
- Viewfactor plate does not have the terminal pins connected for battery data- RED, Switronix, Actionproducts plates are wired correctly to display smart battery data
- GMP batteries carry improper voltages on the data pins which prevents the camera from operating BUT the RED version GMP batteries send info on the data pins

So, to answer your question, GMP non red batteries won't work with Action Products connectors, but GMP RED versions will.
