  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

3rd Party PL Mount

You may want to consider the All Star Mount. It includes PL, but then opens you up to great stills options too, also BNCR.

Any mount, no approved by RED will void your warranty. So unless it's approved, don't get it.
 
Not to mention....anyone making these mounts has a tolerance factor of something like .025mm so if the mount is slightly to thick or too thin, you may not get a backfocus...this IS a real concern and I'd only deal with someone that does this in USA and has a solid background and can warranty the work. Only two come to mind around here besides RED. the Nikon ProLok that Jacek makes or Long Valley.

....well, after looking at his website, he does seem to do this for a living and recognizes the precision required by noting it's made within .001mm to spec.
 
I've purchased a couple other mounts from this seller and have always been pleased with his/her service and quality.

Edit: I should clarify that those mounts I purchased were for an AF-100, not my Scarlet :) Good luck!
