(Apologies if this has been asked and answered elsewhere but I could not find anything solid in my searches.)
Been reading some reviews of people struggling when using 3rd party LCD Lemo cables on the 7" Red Touch.
Out of the Red Touch, the Red Pro Touch and the DSMC2 Red Touch (via an adapter B), which are affected?
Why is this an issue only for the 7"? Is it a firmware or hardware issue? Can it be fixed?
What makes Red's official Lemo cables immune? Has there been any official comment from Red?

Media Blackout's site mentions potential "intermittent signal, image noise, lack of touchscreen responsiveness" when using their MegaFlex cables. I tested my 24" MegaFlex on the 7" Pro Touch and it worked perfectly.
Cinecoil's site states their coiled LCD cables are only "compatible with EVF, 5" and 9" LCD monitors". However, Wooden Camera sell these cables and don't mention anything about such restrictions.
And Wooden Camera cables ... are they subject to the same issues? I cannot find anything online to suggest either way.

Abductive reasoning would say, if it looks like an LCD cable, is sold as an LCD cable, and plugs in like an LCD cable, then it should behave like an LCD cable ... right?
