Hello
My friend and producer, wants to build a 3D filmmaking kit from RED and other sources. Could someone advise me on a shopping list? What would he need to buy in order to be ready to shoot 3D? (including the Rig and a good collection of lenses)

Thanks

Number one on his shopping list should probably be a person with 3D production and post experience.

Yes experience is main thing . But i thing that if you are interest in
3D you will do everything and will became specialist after first
movie.

Not without someone who's actually done it before. Stereography is something that requires theory and understanding that goes considerably beyond just getting a rig, sticking two cameras on it, and trying things. If this is just a personal experiment or a potential hobby, then what you're saying is fine. But if one wants to do this on a professional level, and produce material that is up to professional standards, and have audiences enjoy without considerably headache pain, there's a lot more to it than that.

Can not agree with you . Why not . It is depends on experience and
testing , and yes you need to know theory - (you can found theory
documentations ). You can not get this experience in any Film School ,
you need to test , and to make this test you need to have 3D Rig for
beginning .

Also agree with you that first project will not be in "Proffesional Level" .
It is my hard experience :)
