  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

$360 Wireless Follow Focus

Certainly innovative. Will not hurt to have it as a back up or for your B camera. FIZ would be fantastic. However, 250K looks to be challenging.

That it is, but if it is spread across enough sites it should easily be able to make that. In theory, all they would need is to sell 20/day for the next 24 days. In the grand scheme of things it is not that much.

Backed it, "why not!" I said to myself. Worth a shot at that price and if not I can probably find it a home with someone who will appreciate it.
From the demo it looks like you manually calibrate the lenses with setting a start/stop

Couldn't resist either!

how does it connect? is it RF, bluetooth? Wifi? What is the range. Is the MDR expandable.

I guess for the price it's interesting, but I would never trust it for anything serious.

Now they are offering a geared upgrade for $65 per unit but it will work if we get the CPU upgrade @ $110,00!!!
I wish we could reach $250,000 for FIZ!

Not sure, you may want to leave a comment on the Kickstarter!

Thats also happens with a gear for example when you pull focus in one direction and then quickly change direction with the FF most not so good lenses will have a picture shift. Especially rebuilt still glass and especially visible on fixed camera and fast focus pulls...

To me a belt is actually softer on the lens than a gear that only push on one part of the focus gear. So I actually think this consturction is made with poor lenses in mind... not everyone have master primes or red pro primes or summilux C or any the other big sturdy lenses. In a not so far future the more common way of shooting will be using still glass or shit built cine lenses. And with low cost FF's like this with good resolution and the right mapping the short focus swing will not be a problem.

I will see how this one folds out and possibly buy one, but I think there is more just like this in the making out there. Really strange that red did not put out their EF / pro mote all ready. To me that's a much greater concern than reinventing the wheel with the meizler / wireless or proress modules or small SSD etc. Focusing is key. If they would get that to work with a redmote and be able to control 2 lenses and so on they pretty much would have solved the 3D rig issues in one big swoop...

Because Birger owns the patent on how to do that smoothly - simple correct answer.

Just upgraded to the cinema lens gear upgrade!!!! No more belt feed now true gear, plus only $529 for this upgrade which is amazing!!!

Upgraded too. Should be a great backup & great to have for my b-camera. Could have used the hell out of it on our last feature!

Where have you seen details of the cine lens gear? I have seen its different from the other pledges but have seen no details or pictures of the different gear.

June needs to hurry up!!!! Can't wait for this it looks very promising plus I like knowing this is helping a start up company too!!!!

2 hours left! The project is less than $8,000 from the stretch goal upgrade!
