There hasn't been much talk of VR on here, possibly due to the fact that most VR systems do not utilized RED cameras. NextVR does, but unless you work for them, you probably haven't used their system. 21st Century 3D is pleased to announce the introduction of a new system. The Ω VR Capture system is unique. It uses only two RED DRAGON cameras to capture full 360 3D VR and offers unprecedented control over stereoscopic effect and overall image quality. Download this demo clip and view it in your Oculus Rift to see for yourself. Ω VR is available now!

How does it manage to do that with only 2 Dragons? Is there some kind of special lens setup or does it use two super wide lenses? If that is the case, how does it handle the edge focus in the "stitches"?

Jason.
This is well done. I've seen quite a lot of 360 video, and to have the quality you've got (I saw the clip via a Samsung GearvR note4 phone) is really good!
If you can find a solution for Nadir and zenith coverage / coverup. it will be truly immersive.

I've only seen it once, haven't looked closely yet. but it looks great.

Thank you Clyde,

I actually had the full 360° capability all along, but until today when YouTube added 3D 360° support I didn't have an easy way to share it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76aB_GHVzAY

It's a very short 5 second clip, you may want to pause it to explore the 3D and 360° effect.

Thanks Steven, it uses the 21st Century 3D BX5 3D beamsplitter in conjunction with our patent pending Ωmega VR system.
Can you go over the 360 3D technology a bit, especially the distribution side. I have a oculus rift and vive, I've seen some 360 3d video's that are good(i.e. the recent U2 is real nice) but most are total crap. I'd really like to understand at a high level the 3d 360 workflow that gives good quality.

"this video is not available" message pops up on youtube. Is there another link?
