So even though MY actual Scarlet is faulty and records corrupt frames (still waiting on RED to get back to me), I rented another one for my shoot today and check this out! It's my best work to date (on the Scarlet) even if I do say so myself hehe ;) Really learning a lot about lighting.....and conceptualization. Here is a frame (there is heaps more but I freelance DOP'd for another company so I don't own these images). I've been shooting for years, and working post for longer, but I really feel like the Scarlet has forced me to re-think everything I know, especially about exposure.

What do you guys think?
(daylight obviously, with reflectors)

Thanks Joe! Have you shot with/purchased a RED? It's good to know other DP's in Australia who shoot with these things :)

Love the look of this, I know its only a frame grab, but I wish I saw more Scarlet's giving these kinds of results

Looks great Matthew!

Love that I can make out the water bottle frame left, even with how dark that area of the image is.

I'm of the thought that you can never know enough about lighting.

Thanks for the comments guys :) And yeah Jeff, lighting with natural light is something I'm very comfortable with but this was all lit by me. Having to fully control the light, instead of just seeing it (as with natural light) is time consuming but awesome fun.
The shadow areas at 320iso are clean as...I love the small pocket of light on the bottle...just enough to make you want to look there ;)

Lens choices and ISO setting (if other than 320 that you mentioned) please.

Those frame grabs are amazingly clean (no compression artifacts), loads of shadow detail and ridiculously natural sharpness.
