3 Stage 4x5 Matte Box with 138mm Bellows

Just wanted to look at options for Matte Boxes that fit my needs.

My needs are 3 4x5 filter stages plus a 138mm bellows at the back. Also needs to allow a 19mm swing away for mounting.

Right now I know of two that can do this:

Arri MB18
Bright Tangerine VIV (and Strummer)



Any others? Does Chrosziel make one that has these?

Yes, I have both the Arri and BT MBs but there's littlethings that bug me about them. So I'm asking if any other makers make an MB with those specs.

I have a MB 20 for sale cheap on this forum....So you can perhaps trust me when I say the ARRI SMB 2 is the one to buy if you use filters allot (just from spec and playing around it hasn't come to me yet) . Unfortunately costs more than most new cameras but it does what I want..

I really feel I need to use both a LW and studio MB...

It comes with two stages, but you can can add a third stage. Look for UMB-1 Universal Mattebox (Extra Stage Set) on their website.

You might want to check out the Vocas 435 or 455. Great mattebox's.
