It all started with the sensational announcement of MoVi. The possibilities with this gyro-stabilzing system are incredible. The technology of the gyro system isn’t a new concept but this new interpretation gives all filmmakers a new instrument to realize their creative ideas. Mindcut blog has created a compilation of all current systems.

... and there'll be more to come :)

Nice round up.

yes you are right, if you see something write us an eamil we will put that into the overview.

Paul do you know if the Colibri offers pan and tilt via remote like the MOVI? (Couldn't find any mention on their site)

Curious what others think, the MOVI seem to be producing clearly the smoother footage to me. How much do you think this is likely operator skill?

Great infos thanks for it.

As I'm shooting with sound I would like to hear the different noise from each system. Is there a way to have such a test?

Thanks

Patrick

Patrick, I emailed this question to Colibri will update when I hear back.
Pretty sure I remember reading the Defy ones are very quiet and MOVI is supposed to be all but silent. No idea about the rest.

Right, well David has cleared that up for all of us, but as advised the Colibri guys emailed back and said it was silent.
But I think a MOVI is a far better featured unit...
