During the month of October we have been doing/are shooting a large number of tests with our Red camera. At the end of the month we will be going to one of the local theaters in Grand Rapids to premiere the various footage so that all the people on set can see the sweet Red footage at its best. The theaters are equipped with badass 2k DLP projectors that use the Texas Instrument chips. I am wondering if anyone out in the Red Community knows what type of files we will need to create to take full advantage of these projectors and how we can create those files. I have a feeling that there might be a few options- could anyone give me a "good", "better", and "best" option? Also, when these digital theaters get films from Hollywood what format do they come in? In the future, when we start doing feature films, where can we go to get the films transferred to the 'Hollywood' theater file?

I have really have no idea how this whole process works- I am still learning. So if I sound really out of the loop with this stuff its because I am... :nerd:

Thanks in advance!

Your footage needs to be DCI-compliant (2048x1080 @ 24p, jpeg2000, 6 channels audio, MXF playlist, 2.6gamma and much more) . Thanks to someone on this thread I was pointed to a program that does everything for you to make a deliverable DCP (Digital Cinema Package).

The program is called Wraptor. Here is the link: http://www.quvis.com/?Action=Products&SubAction=wraptor
