Centre Video Production (CVP) has teamed up with leading digital storage specialist, Digistor, to build a new high-speed production, editing and compositing system across its three newly-refurbished suites, connected via dual fibre to 3x16 Bay SANman disk arrays to allow multiple streams of HD and SD to be edited simultaneously.
“This CVP installation represents an ideal showcase for Digistor,” stated Digistor Customer Sales Representative, Sean Curran. “It combines Digistor’s expertise in computer systems, fibre and AV networking and digital media production systems to enhance the facility in order to provide state-of-the-art production.”
One of only a handful of full-service production facilities in Australia with fully-integrated HD capabilities available for dry-hire, CVP now features a range of high-end equipment including a new Hamlet HD/SD broadcast safe monitoring system in each suite, a LCD HD reference monitor, a CRT HD reference monitor, and a Tangent colour grading surface which has the capacity to handle 2K television and film post-production.
“The facility now has the ability to store up to 20 terabytes of data and can access it over dual fibre channel, which means major time savings and productivity gains,” said CVP Business Development Executive, Benjamin Smith.
“CVP’s capability to operate with fluid HD workflow across our three editing suites has given us the flexibility to take on more video production, editing and broadcast projects at a high level of production quality.”

Situated within the world-class Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, CVP has access to on-site parking and five-star catering from the Centre’s Bayside Lounge.
