2K Footage in 4K Project?

Hi there,

I'm working on a 4K project and am wondering if integrating a few short instances (5-10 seconds) of 2K footage will result in a noticeable rupture in quality when screening theatrically, or otherwise, at 4K?

You can see the difference in some cases, but a lot depends on high frequency content, lenses, contrast, diffusion, lighting, and other factors. How are you monitoring for 4K playback?
