I like the way this thread is playing.
Real options are being discussed, and the discussion is stimulating even more options.
If what Mike P. says is true about interfacing SSD memory cells, then it looks like it will be "Game ON!"
Having worked in all flavors of 65/70mm film, including Showscan, and Imax, I can tell you that it would be a whole lot easier to carry around fat SSD module bricks than to pick up your dailies from the lab having to use a fork lift. A little bit exaggerated, but not far from the truth.
