  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

that sounds like a good idea, but it isn't... here's why:
I tried my best to pay my bills early but found out that delivery would take place a little later than anticipated. So I asked my Red Bomb Squad rep to delay shipment till the end of September. After two mails I got a confirmation: "We will postpone your delivery until after the 25th.. Sorry for the confusion."
Guess what I found in my inbox this morning? A FedEx shipment notification! The camera ha been sent nonetheless.

Bottom line: the guys at Red are working hard, but there's a lot of pressure. The "my account" feature does not work. Mistakes will happen, that's only human. Do not take chances.

And here it is!!! Thanks Brent, it is a nice morning, and my smile will keep in my face for a long time. :biggrin: Though you guys at Red are resposible that I woke up much much earliler than usual. I guess my biological RED clock was telling me.... there's something waiting for you in you email box......

Going away for vacations will help anyway.

Money in your account has nothing to do with item status. Backorder has to do with item availability/inventory status.

the parcel arrived on schedule today, thanks to a very nice FedEx employee who helped tremendously pushing it through customs.
Unfortunately I have to report another issue: I was billed and had to pay custums duties for a RED DRIVE that was not included in the shipment (of course!). :sad:

Oh well, I have to get back to my bomb squad rep anyway. We have to resolve a few oddities with "my account".

Exactly 3 days after receiving final payment Red shipped my camera, and it arrived the next day (today) as I live in SoCal. After nearly a year I finally have my dream machine, and it is a sexy beast. Thank you Red visionaries for creating this amazing tool and opening up new possibilities for independent filmmakers like me. It will be a great month and year!
 
My Red arrived yesterday, only ten days after wiring the money! :w00t: :w00t:

I was almost numb. I've been dreaming about it so long and it's actually here.

Having fun messing with it now, gotta go!
