  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

24: Day 8 on RED?

Its 35mm. they were supposed to switch to HD after the first few episodes, they shot tests/footage on multiple HD cameras, then settled on S16mm but at the last minute studio let them continue to shoot on 35mm for the bulk of the shoot - according to Rodney Charters Twitter stream anyway.

You could tell the new episodes last night were definitely shot on 35mm film. It was an interesting contrast to "Human Target" which premiered just before it and was perfectly clean in most of the scenes. A source has told me the first episode of "Human Target" was shot on RED. Anyone else heard this?

Rodney sounds pretty excited about M-X on Twitter so maybe Jim can talk him and the producers into shooting next season with a RED? ;-)

yes, human target episode 1 (the pilot) from last night was shot on red - the rest of the show is now D21

Well, i am not sure if it's the grading or something else but it didn't feel 35mm to me.

Oh, Rodney why not RED? :incazzato:

Okay, It's still being shot on 35 mm for this season. I have confirmation of this from a reliable source.

Did any of the HD footage air? Or was it just tests? Why did they decide to stay with 35mm instead of HD?
