Hello,

Has anyone tested the Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG OS HSM | ART lens on DSMC2 cameras?

Does the Stabilization work? T stops etc?

This would be nice with a 70-200 as a pair of documentary lenses.

I was disappointed with the overall optic quality of this lens...especially when compared to the rest of the ART family. This lens is not very sharp. We used it on an Epic -W at 8K.
I did not use the stabilization so I can't answer this

Same here...and the OS worked intermittently, depending on which FW was installed and when working was a little bit jerky.

Canon 24-105L MK2 (or even MK1) is only F4, true, but miles ahead in both sharpness and OS smoothness...and range too.

I've had this lens for over a year and use it on my Epic-W. I think it's sharp. The image stabilization is pretty non-existent, though. I wish it worked but it's minor at best. I haven't run any real "tests" just real world experience. I'm not outputting any 4k content or using a 4k monitor so you know. 1080 TVCs and web content mostly.

I've been using this lens in 4K on other cameras and it's plenty sharp. True the primes are sharper but they're primes and this one works well alongside the 18-35. I tested it alongside the canon 24-70 2.8 and I didn't see any reason to go for the canon. It does breathe a bit but that would be my only complaint.

great thread, thank you all for your opinion.

I have not tested this lens but from this
thread i don’t think i will.
Was considering the Canon 24-105 but didn’t like a F4.
Doc world we need fast glass. Maybe the Canon 24-70 2.8.
