We shoot more and more wildlife material. Are currently planning to film monkeys in the ruins of Sri Lanka :)
Now, previously we shot everything with 23.98fps, probably with the secret hope that it would one day end up on the big screen. Now we are shooting more with television in mind. Would not 25fps or 30fps be better then, and if so which one?

Best wishes,

Andreas and Natalie

Wildlife these days is very much about slow motion. I usually shoot 50fps for 25fps projects. Since you're based in Europe 25fps is a reasonable base frame rate. Syncing audio is done in post with some stock effects usage.
And once you succeed with cinema project you can always do the 25 to 24 conversion.

Thanks for the answers guys.

25fps would probably make the most sense. We shot almost everything in slow motion as well. Usually we shoot in even higher slow motions such as 200fps, I guess the question is more for when you have real time.

Anything else we should think of?
Cheers

I'd say always shoot wildlife at the highest possible fps. It'll also make it more easily convertible to 24 or 25fps depending on the market it's used in.
