Has Red given any specifics regarding these sensors? I'm particularly interested in what the resolution and precision they are and at what rate they are updated.

-Thanks

last thing i saw might have changed since then..but dont think so

www.red.com

Since I doubt that Red is genning up their own sensors for this stuff, does anyone know if Red is likely to disclose which chipset they're using? Or any other way to find out these details.

One of the applications that I'm hoping to use it for needs a pretty decent rate sensor on it. Some of the external sensors that I've seen cost a couple thousand dollars and if Red is using sufficiently good enough sensor internal, I would make their camera a lot more attractive.

And if Red is looking here, would these be the same sensors on the Scarlet as on the Epic?

Does anyone know there's a more appropriate forum to find out this sort of stuff?

Will this information become available as we get closer to Scarlet's release? Any idea how long before release we'll be able to find out about this? Or do we have to wait till it come out?

Does Epic have the same sensor/capability? Would it be fruitful to ask over on that board? I still don't know if this is the right place to find out about this or what the best way to find out would be.
