Every year we open our doors to the public in order to celebrate National Robotics Week. This year we had 1200 people walk through the facility in just under 3 hours. This is just one of our many education outreach initiatives, however all of the other events/programs have far less attendance but are extremely in-depth content wise.
On a side note, I literally broke our Atlas robot (well.. the power supply blew when booting it up to test out the newly integrated Xbox controller) the night before the open house was scheduled... and our robotics team scrambled to come up with another activity for the children to demo. The team threw together a demo that allowed the children to remotely pilot a double bot through a maze..
two dragons, one osmo, phantom 4, bmcc4k, two gopros
