Hi,
I'm busy working with a company that uses cineform .avi for all of their video.
They batch process BMCC, 5D MLV, BMPCC ProRes, Kinefinity all to cineform .avi
I've run some tests on the first batch process that we did (using the R2CF script) with my RED EPIC-X footage and all appears to have gone rather swimmingly.
I rated at ISO800 and I would often switch to ISO250 to check highlights while I was shooting.
The Cineform raw files are obviously ignoring this exposure metadata.
My question is twofold:
Will I be losing a lot of quality by pushing the cineform footage to match my R3Ds at higher ISOs?
Does anyone else use cineform and if so, is there a better workflow? Straight out of REDCINE-X for example?
cheers
