Argentina will take it in penalties vs. USA in the final, and I will cheer till the end of time.
USA will finally earn their place with the big boys and nobody will be able to say poop about it.

That is what Nostradamus' great great grandson told me anyway.

Saturday 12th June: England v USA. Ooh that should fun.

You guys better hope Landon Donovan doesn't get injured playing in the big boys league:)

Personally, I can't see past Spain, they're a class apart.

I think England has a good shot this time around. There seems to be resolve and hunger. Scary team to face off.

Beware of the US, wish I had some s0ccer Mom statistics to illustrate. We aren't getting any worse that's for sure, so you might want to avoid saying something that will make you feel stupid later. ;)

germany will do it.
england has a strong defense, but the lack of a second world class forward, a mediocre goalkeeper and a missing high class left winger are the biggest problems.

they have some really good midfield players (lampard, gerrard, carrick)...still see no championchip at the end-

france has to prove themselves without zidane
argentina, well i love maradonna, but he is not a coach.

italy, will be interesting when totti comes back.

USA, they play good, but most players dont have the experience of the champions league, which is a handycap.

brazil, well its interesting that their defensive players are all world class and are playing at the topclubs and their forwards (robinho, l.fabiano) arent playing at the topclubs of europe....and ronaldinho did get kicked out

Just pulling your leg Roberto. Indeed, when they did the draw I wanted to avoid the USA as England never do well against well organized and disciplined teams like USA, Sweden, Rumania - I could go on:)

I don't expect much from our boys, that way I'm never disappointed when we lose on penalties:)

You mean like, "the US team sucks! No way they will make it to the final"?

Well, maybe the woman's team will....

I predict Brazil will beat Spain in the final.

Ohhh no you didn'en't :boxing_smiley:

:patriot:

Someone will be there shooting with the Canon 1ds mark IV, acquiring clean non-aliased 1080p 60p with their digic V processors...

HAHAHA... I'd say South Korea has a higher chance that the non-aliased VDSLR video by then. :hand:

I'd like to see some 150fps 6k instead. :sifone:

I admit that I was rooting for the US in the 09 Confederations Cup where they got lucky and beat Spain in the semifinal. I even thought they were going to win it all for their first FIFA tournament when they were up 2-0 at halftime. But of course Brazil comes back and scores 3 goals to win. That's when I gave up on our chances for the World Cup...

We had a lot of fun here in Montreal watching Algeria qualify for the World Cup. I am curious to see what they are able to do against England (being one of the favorites) and the USA who seem to have stepped up their game considerably. I am just happy to see Algeria qualifying after 24 years of absence from the World Cup..........

Think I forgot to talk smack about this little thing...
Maybe today's hat trick is a excuse to bring it up:

And for those that didn't know it, this means
he is allowed to get away with more, and get
more favorable calls than whatever "stars"
you think you may have. ;)

I was in Quebec City years back when France won the world cup. I have never seen a mob like this before, they almost overturned a tour bus before heading off.

I think BRAZIL is gonna kick a** !

Nice thread Roberto, I love the world cup.

Would love to see coverage in stereoscopic.
