Is the date for the next batch of e-mails (2201-2300) set yet? Will there be a two week pause in e-mails before the next batch?

I sure hope not. I'm expecting my camera (#2336) to ship before July 31st!

We are still on pace with Big Jon's sticky, Kaya :)

Considering its mid July by now, are we really on schedule?

I know it said by this month everyone in the 2000-2400 range would get their cameras, but if we keep this rhythm the second batch will initiate the shipping process by August. I thought this was caused by the delayers in the earlier ranges asking for their cameras plus the problem with the glass in front of the sensor. But, as someone mentioned, the schedule doesnt say conservative anymore. Is there a new problem around? Any thoughts?

Sorry estebanred, as excited as I am to be in the next batch, the schedule says the following:

"2001-2400 begin shipping in July"

It does not say you (we'll) have it in hand in July, though I sure hope we do.

Kevin

There must be some issue going on since they seem very conservative to ship this round of cameras. Plus no RED drives for how long? No clue when I'll ever see that. Also, since many of us have already finalized our orders ahead of time I don't see a point in sending an email that tells me to do something I have already done which in turn delays the order at least another week. I don't really see the reward of being a good, loyal and fast paying customer. In fact, we seem to be penalized by others who wish to wait on the sidelines.
The way it's looking they will send the 2201-2300 emails by next Friday or the following Monday and 2301-2400 emails by end of the month if we are lucky. That's assuming they stay "on schedule". I can say without a doubt I will be quite dissapointed if I don't receive a tracking number by the end of the month.
I guess I'm tired of having people ask when my camera is going to arrive and just shrugging my shoulders. Then they just smirk as if to say "I told you so". I want to believe and defend this company with all my might but it can sure be challenging sometimes.

I know you guys are extremely anxious...and I don't blame you. But you guys seem to be disappointed that we are on schedule?

FYI - The 2nd email for #2001-#2100 should be going out later today. As soon as that blasts, we'll start shipping that group. We'll give #2001-#2200 a few days to modify their orders since they just got the email this weekend. So expect that 2nd email for them later this week.

Why the two emails? You'd be surprised, mikeburton, how many people do not arrange their orders until they get that 1st email. This also gives people a week's notice to arrange their finances.

Uh, well, as for me probably that's because i really hoped it was a "conservative" schedule.
Now feels more like a "barely on schedule" schedule, but i'm still positive, so i'm still hoping that the new "my account" page will speed up things for new batches

Trust me, being on schedule is really good news around these parts :) ...

I understand Brent. And please don't take my previous words as a personal attack in any way. I know you guys are doing the best you can and understand the policy you have in place is there for a reason. Nor should i assume i know what all happens and why it happens behind closed doors at RED. All I'm saying is that going forward it would be easier for everyone if there was a way RED could distinguish between those that have taken that initiative therefore bypassing the 1st email and expediting the delivery process. This would be valid personal incentive to be on top of the financing, and order status assuming RED could actually make that distinction and reward those customers appropriately.
I think we were all hoping this schedule was going to be "conservative" rather than accurate. Anyhow, I'm just anxious, do the best you can and I'll look forward to the emails as they roll out.

We mostly just sing folk songs together, make flower necklaces, play Duck-Duck-Goose, and drink Sunny D. Jarred plays guitar and I do backing vocals... :)

We know you guys are speaking out of being anxious, we don't take it personally. We are always looking to improve our customer relations, so any and all suggestions are welcome.

Thanks Brent for nice funny soul that was clear in your reply ,
You are guys doing huge efforts helping customers.:turned:

since may, after, we can all be honest, a period of some frustration,
red did:

- the catchin´ up process
- developed build 16
- established "my account"
- is still on track
- is still and always in close customer relation

that´s a remarkable perfomance in only 2 month, sometimes i was, of course, a little bit frustrated when pushing back some projects planned for red back in the year. but it worked.
i am and i always was very much more impressed of this team than depressed.
cheers.
