  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Never used, DS1 kit. Asking for $4,500 for both lights, soft blade and Pelican case. Sold as a kit, will not part.
Local sale and pick up only in Los Angeles.

1 x DS1 Cardboard Box with foam cutout (fits HPRC 2460 case)
1 x DS Light Module RGBW
1 x DS Light Module Cable 0.7m/2ft

Why are you selling them for so much more than you paid for them in the Group Buy?
 
A. That's not true.
and B. The market sets the selling price, not the cost. For example, it costs Apple around $271 to source and buy iPhone components and assembly, but they sell it at $800, because that's the market value of the iPhone. Market (consumer) either accepts it or they don't.

and btw, the GB was abruptly shut down after 1 or 2 days, I think because it was too much interest. Many ppl couldn't get in on it.
Also, I didn't insist that the price is firm. Any reasonable offer is welcome.

Apple is doing research/development, marketing, and trying to sell the fruits of their labor for a profit. Did you buy from the Group Buy to make a profit? If you had, I would consider acting as a reseller in a RedUser Group Buy to be against the spirit and purpose of a Group Buy. Especially in a scenario where the GB was shut down early.

I’m sure that wasn’t your original motive, and you are right, it is a market and you can sell it for whatever one other person will pay for it. I just think it’s kind of lame ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
