  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

2 minute short film in reaction to the chaos in this world

I agree completely with Alberto. Great concept, well executed.

Not sure where Vadim is coming from. Completely uncalled for.

Cool bit, I dig it!

Quick question...
Some shots seem to demonstrate more rolling shutter at what appear similar turn speeds then others.

Was that footage from the scarlet? Just curious, thanks

or perhaps those were 135mm shots?

That was a useless and harsh comment....

Concept is nice. I think the initial part is too long. You can probably cut it to 1min or little more and be more impactful.

Yes, we created this in just a week and a half. Including editing, so there was not much time for reflection. But now, a week later, I think it is to much in the middle between a short film and a commercial. We should have made a decision about that.

Looks really good to me! I think that noise looks a bit wonky though, but yeah, love the look.

We unfortunately needed to add this much grain to match everything with the end part. We shot the video in one day and expected no rain, but it turned out to rain for 1/3 of the day. So we were delayed a lot and ended up shooting the last scene while the sun was setting, it was very cloudy, and we were in the middle of a forest. So it was shot at 2000 ISO and T1.5. With the grain I think the footage holds up nicely. Although the YouTube compression is not helping. Maybe it is better on Vimeo. https://vimeo.com/147489426

Maybe it has to do with the background? Some of them have a lot of lines. Or maybe it is because of the distance between talent and background?
Those shots are all on the 135mm. Only the close-up shots of the faces at the end in the forest are 50mm.

The running shots were all shot on the Epic, but with the same settings as the Scarlet. 30FPS 1/60 shutter 1:10 compression rate.
