Hey

IT would be great of we could have the 2.5K super16 Formart for Scarlet-D like we have on Epic-D. Sure the camera can do it. Please add to firmware.

I hope that "custom resolution" feature is still in development and it would be great to have that flexibility on MX-cameras too.

Any reply to this? 2.5K is on my Epic Dragon, My B Camera Scarlet-D would love to be able to match this resolution. Really no reason why it can't

Just being curious, does is really make a huge difference to shoot 2.5k instead of 3k with a custom-frame set to a 2.5k-window?

I've never understood Scarlet not having the same resolution options than Epic. This sort of artificial-firmware-limitation-to-force-buyers-upmarket tactic, regularly used by the Japanese camera companies, is usually frowned on by Red.

Well, it'd let you shoot more footage per GB media (which given the high $ per GB media is certainly worthwhile) and/or shoot at lower compression. And it'd be one less step in post. And I for one hate composing to frame lines / look around / safe zones / whatever you want to call them : I always forget about them and end up with the tops of peoples' heads cut off.

Agreed having 2.5k in camera on Dragon-S would certainly make post and on set more streamlined. Always nice to match Epic and Scarlet as closely as possible at lower resolutions...
