Hi everyone!
I am shooting a shortfilm very soon and wanted a very clean and crisp image and that special look that only anamorphic lenses give you.
What are my choices and which lenses are more suitable for a Red One camera? Hawk? Lomo? Panavision? Where can I get the lenses in NewYork for a fair price?
Should I shoot 4k only with anamorphic lenses? Would I have any problems with the viewfinder? Can I select 2.35 aspect ratio on it?

If we are not able to shoot anamorphic......Is it a good option Super35mm for a 2.35 screening? Do I get good results just cropping?

Thanks in advance!

there are redusers with hawks and elites in nyc for rental.
Also, i think i remember arri csc having a set of hawks.

there is a 4k anamorphic mode which records a square crop of the sensor, and allows for proper viewing on set without any mods, BUT it is not supported in redcine/scratch as far as i know.
SO, shooting in 4k 16:9 and having monitors on set to do the desqueeze is how i would suggest.
