Only 8 more months to go and I too will have my very own Scarlet-X! Looking VERY forward to that day.

Wil be posting lots of stuff late tonight. =) Part I first impressions review coming for probably the first feature film in the world to begin principal photography with the Red Scarlet X.
I'm prepping r3ds tonight for y'all!

Guys! You must watch this!

I just got hold of some spy footage of Peppa unboxing the Scarlet X! I would really like to know this dude's order number. What's intriguing is that it was all shot with another 4K camera that should be hitting the market in January 2012. One thing is clear, as I suspected the Scarlet's menus are far too complicated:

Thanks for doing this, Tonaci ! Much appreciated !

Such a good reading... :-)

Good mini review, and footage looks great too!

Good to hear that you have not had any major problems over the years. I used the RED one MX on a feature with no technical issues, but you are right about the Social worker / Dead Baby analogy, people with bad a experience will cry out louder than someone for whom the camera just works. (My Mom is a Social worker too)

Thanks for the mini review and the images! It's great to see this camera being put through real world paces! Very cool indeed!
