  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Just wondering who of you recently took delivery of a RED 18-85 Zoom and what camera serial number you are?

I'm #1103 - paid in June 08.

Contacted RED several weeks ago and they said it was several weeks away! Just wondering what numbers are shipping at the moment before I hassle them again.

We got our lens a week ago, metric, for RED222
 
"18-85 RED PRO (M) - Backordered, shipping in limited quantities with production ramping up."

Brian - with all due respect, it is nearly impossible to get specific information from you guys about the 18-85. The above statement has been the same for months. I was merely putting it to the boards to see if the " production ramping up " stage has been reached. Seems like it hasn't which most likely means I still have a wait on my hands.

If you have any additional information on the production of this lens or when the ramp up stage might happen I'm sure those of us with one on order will be happy to hear it. On that point, is it possible to know a rough number on how many of these lenses were ordered because at this stage I have no idea where I am even placed in the queue.
