  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

#1781 on the Playa, Burning Man 2008..."The American Dream"

Thanks Hedge...it certainly was on hell of a experience this year, every year...thanks for the opportunity and giving me a reason to bring the RED to the playa. (like I needed one)

Some footy coming soonish, still have not reviewed much but I am finding some gems when I do! The old nikons worked for sure, they are softer no doubt but a lot of this has to do with the amount of playa dust inside them by day IV when I shot this arial footage.

Mike and I went out to the Black Rock Airport hoping one of the pilots would gift a flight to us, 30 minutes later I was climbing into the back of 68 Cessna embarking on one of the most insane flights of my life. :umm:

Thanks for posting and letting us know of your BM adventure,
you are really making us jealous. Cool pics.
Congrats on your rig and keeping the dust out, i know that is pretty hard on the playa. I have burned a few times... and it is never enough.
What kind of doco are you planning?
Looking forward on seeing the first Red footage from the playa...
 
Thanks people...Black rock city is full of hope in these troubled and F#&*ed times we live in, it truly is the light at the end of the tunnel and I encourage everyone to visit at least once before you die.

Radical self expression at its best....you really transform out there, remove the layers and get closer to your core and you remember how to let your guard down and actually communicate with people.

Hey Snow...the project I was working on is called "As the Dust Settles"...a feature doc produced by reduser Mike Hedge. The film is in post now and I am just as excited as anyone to see what they are crafting, I do know its less about "burning man" and more experienced based content.

Maybe you will make it back to the playa next year? Let me know, not sure what I will be working on next year.:biggrin:
