  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Four 16GB CF Cards, brand new, never been recorded on.

Red ONE CF Module, brand new, still in bubble wrap and never opened.

That's what I got when I ordered it, Freya. If you go to the red store (http://www.red.com/store/products/red-cf-module) you'll see the housing for the chip. When you order the CF module by itself, it doesn't come with the black housing as it's part of your Red ONE camera. (In other words, if you have a Red ONE, you should already have the black housing.)

I called my bomb squad rep and he confirmed that when you order it alone, you only get the chip.

Not if your camera came with an SSD side module, you will have an ssd side module there instead!
Not sure what would come with the early cameras.

So are you saying it's possible to order a compact flash side module complete but also just the compact flash part of the module?

Good point. If your Red ONE came with an SSD, you wouldn't have the CF housing part. This CF module that I have pictured was ordered in 2011. I don't think that the Red ONE was shipping the SSD side module at that time (I could be wrong). It would be a problem if you don't already have the housing. I don't have one. If I should have recieved the housing and the bomb squad rep was wrong, then that's kind of dissappointing.

In any case, I'm only selling the chip, obviously.

Fair enough! I was just wondering what it was to be honest. I thought it might be something for connecting to your computer... :)

Don't think it's going to be a popular item but who knows, maybe someone has an old red one with a compact flash side module that has broken and will be all over it! :)

I paid $1500 for this stuff, and it's still sold in the red store. Neither the cards I'm selling, nor the CF module have been used before.
