Master Scratch color grading will be handled by John Tissavary From Traktion Films.

I can't wait to see the final results on the big screen. =)

I am currently preparing for another feature film in the "martial arts" genre next month with this same production company "Chanh Phuong Film." Their previous martial arts movie (shot on 35mm) was picked up by the Weinsteins.

Cool trailer Tonaci. Congrats. The cast looks good.
Nice footage too. Maybe some dark shots in the streets but it looks good.
Must have been fun to shoot there.

Cheers
Tim

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the comments. =)
We shot this nearly exactly one year ago on Build 15. It was an amazing shoot. It is one of the few films that give viewers a sense of present day vietnam..since prior movies always seem to revolve around the war.

I think John's magic touch will make the night alley scenes dynamic.

[albert rudnicki]

Footage and story looks great. Makes me want to see it

[Paolo Tinari]

[Álex Montoya]

I'll definitely post the official trailer when available.
Yeah the scooter sequences were a ton of fun and dangerous.

Some behind the scenes from the shoot.

Here I am protecting the RED in the canoe. =)

[Tonaci Tran]

Operating from a go-cart.. i definitely was able to shoot some interesting footage .. talk about "whip" pans. hehe

[Brian B]

that looks awesome Tonaci! Vietnam has always been one of the top places I want to visit someday.

[Sean Rawls]

Haha, now I have to put put operating from a go kart on my bucket list. That looks fun (if not a little sketchy).

Thanks Brian! Any time the Red Team members want to visit, just shoot me a PM and I'll show you around town for some ostrich riding and crocodile feeding.

A cool 1k frame 14 DAYS movie grab of a classy coffee shop in Vietnam.

[Roberto Lequeux]

It looks great! I definitely want to see it.

What kind of lighting gear did you guys have available?

[Joe G.]

Just saw the trailer for "The Rebel." This looks outstanding. I'm going to add to Netflix.

Can you say anymore about this film, or the next martial arts film you are working on?

Speegrade did an article on the "The Rebel" movie below. Shot on 35mm.

The next movie is called "Clash." It will feature two of the main stars from the Rebel. We just did a test shoot over the weekend for lighting so I'll ask them if I can post a quick clip of it.

[Kristopher Colavecchio]

looks fantastic, cant wait to see more.
