Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
The 16GB cards are very high speed cards capable of reading at over 100MB/s.
Alot of readers aren't designed and tested for these speeds so they can fall
over when run continuously and overheat.
Back when I was a young lad, our fear would be the dreaded "drop out" on a damaged or faulty tape. There's always something. Check, check and recheck. All important or "expensive" shots are checked at that moment. First takes of all new setups are checked while additional takes are being done. Very rare that the first take is corrupt, but the others are not.
I've been shooting for a very long time, with multiple cameras, and I find Murphy to always be looking over my shoulder.. If I protect myself, and check everything, he gets board and leaves me alone.. But if we get lazy, and say "It should be fine, let's just move on".. Then he is there and ready to hit me.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
