Hi Guys

So, I know that you need a GPI trigger to begin ramping from start frame rate, but is there a way to program the side No.1 Button on the R1?
I can get the 120fps to begin ON RECORD, but I want to do it ON EVENT.

Please can someone tell me how to program a trigger from the side button. I can't find anyone explaining how to do it, and the manual says it can only be done by external trigger.

Thanks
Leo

Shoot at 100fps if in 50Hz mains country?

It was under: System-Setup-Preferences-key map- user keys.
Then turn Button 1 or 2 to whatever you like.
For event triggering I turned it to RAMP.

Then under Varispeed, tick the box, set the ramp to On Event, then the duration, then during recording press the button.

I hope thats the right way.

Thanks Eric,
is there any known frame rates that will affect rolling flicker? Any to avoid?
In order to make it 100fps, does the shutter have to be at 1/200 for minimal bluring, and zero flickering?

These are for shooting on film, but should be a good starting point for experiments. They are just a guide - you should shoot tests under the actual lighting you will be using to be sure.

True! Also if you shoot with sunlight, it turns out it is the same sun all over the planet and doesn't produce flicker anywhere, it's really quite magic. :)
